Founded in 1972 with a name that plays on the Seastone name as well as the space between earth and sea that is always changing. So Tideline Press books visually change within themselves as well in relation to each other. While mostly letterpress, handpulled offset-lithography, Xerography, and non-silver photographic methods are also employed. All are handbound. The press has received several Type Directors Club Awards, an AIGA 50 Best Books Award, a several New York State Council on the Arts Grants.
